Wednesdays in the Garden―June 22 and 29, 7 to 9 p.m., Arlington Central Library, 1015 N. Quincy St., Arlington 22201. This series, taught by Arlington Food Assistance Center volunteers and VCE Master Gardeners, is designed to teach gardening skills to a wide audience. Learn how you can help reduce mosquito populations in your yard and protect yourself from biting insects. This program will cover mosquito lifecycle, effective and ineffective control tactics and the risks of using outdoor sprays and other chemical products. Free and open to the public.
